Creative Chameleon. Some come across puzzled and others enlightened when I respond with that term after being asked “so what's your role?” This is a recent title that I've acquired yet I’ve embodied for quite a while now. Maybe even a lifetime… so far. It came to me quite simply. I’m a creative. Neither defined nor conformed by being just a visual artist, or an art director, copywriter, photographer, videographer, editor, director, poet. I’m a chameleon. I can adapt to any environment. There are four layers that make up the skin of a chameleon. The outer layer, epidermis, is known to protect me from those who try to push their pessimism onto my optimistic imagination. Then there is chromatophore, typically containing red and yellow pigments, representing the passion I can match to other creatives when working collaboratively. Melanophore, which is a dark pigment melanin. It creates browns and blacks, but can also reflect blues. This goes to show that I can show up with full force and energy even on the gloomiest of days. And finally the nether layer, which only reflects white. Quite self explanatory but I’ll say it. It's simply my light that shines through. My light illuminates the work, efforts, and energy put into every project. It's pure love and joy for what I do. Call me hopeless. Call me a romantic. No… call me creative chameleon. Hey, I'm Vero. Creative chameleon, comedian, capricorn, concerned with climate change. I'm 5'1 on a good day, but on a great day... The sky's the limit. Born and raised in the flavorful Miami, but the Colombian spirit runs through my blood. I like to play!... especially with energy. Colors are my favorite, words and visuals are my forte, and fine art is my soul food. I guess we can say that I've been a creative since birth.
